Ep 220 - TwoRedTabs The Ultimate Modular Camera Bag for Adventurous Photographers
Wednesday Oct 15, 2025
Wednesday Oct 15, 2025
Stanley Aryanto’s journey from a small-town childhood in Bandung, Indonesia, to becoming an internationally recognized photographer is nothing short of inspiring. Growing up in a struggling family, Stanley believed success meant getting good grades, a secure job, and a steady paycheck. After moving to Australia to study engineering and landing a corporate job, he seemed to have it all—yet felt completely unfulfilled.
Choosing passion over fear, Stanley left engineering behind and discovered photography while traveling in Canada. Capturing frozen lakes, stars, and ice patterns reignited his creativity and set him on a new path. Since then, his award-winning images have been published and exhibited worldwide, but for Stanley, photography is about more than recognition — it’s about sharing stories, inspiring others, and living fully.
In this episode, Stanley discusses his creative philosophy and his new venture, TwoRedTabs, where he designed a highly versatile camera bag called the “Double Red Tabs.” We dive into the process behind its creation, its thoughtful design features like modularity and weather resistance, and how it solves real-world problems for photographers. Stanley also shares details of its upcoming Kickstarter launch and his offer of exclusive mentorship for early backers.
This conversation is both a story of chasing dreams and a call to action for photographers seeking freedom, creativity, and adventure.
I have had Stanley on the show before so I hope you’ll go back and revisit that episode ofter listening to this one. In full disclosure I do have a TwoRed Tabs bag supplied by Stanley, I can say having lived with it for about 6 months that it is one of the best thought out bags I’ve used.
I hope you enjoy the show!

Ep 211 - Capturing the Soul of Americana Through the Lens with Ben Geier
Wednesday Aug 13, 2025
Wednesday Aug 13, 2025
Ben Geier is a photographic artist whose work revives the faded charm of American nostalgia. Rooted in his Midwestern upbringing, Ben began his journey through a fascination with the abandoned—drawn to forgotten buildings, rusted signage, and the ghostly remnants of roadside culture. His signature aesthetic and retro-inspired color palette breathe new life into these lost spaces, offering a vibrant homage to a bygone era.
In this episode, Ben explores his deep connection to Americana, discussing how his background in design and music shaped his eye for composition, tone, and storytelling. He reflects on the visual influence of cinema and the power of memory in shaping his work. His debut book, Viewing Hours, spans a decade of images captured across 15 states, documenting the decline—and dignity—of theatres, restaurants, motels, and main streets that once defined American culture.
Ben also opens up about the emotional resonance of photographing overlooked subjects, the creative process behind compiling his book, and how photography became a way to preserve fleeting pieces of cultural identity. His work stands as both artistic expression and historical preservation, keeping alive the textures and stories of the American landscape.
