Ep 73 - Photographing Tasmania's Heritage Listed Wilderness with Luke Tscharke
Luke Tscharke is an Australian landscape and nature photographer. Passionate about inspiring people to travel and see the beauty in the world around them, Luke originally trained as a Quality Assurance professional with a Bachelor of Science degree and has worked for some of the world’s largest food and beverage companies ensuring the quality and integrity of their products.
The quality of Luke’s work has been recognised by awards in many photography competitions, publications in books, calendars, and magazines, and work with corporate clients, tourism organisations, and charities.
A regular contributor to Australian Geographic Magazine, where he’s had two magazine covers, his first feature story in the magazine was published in January 2018 on the remote Western Arthur Range in Tasmania. Luke also contributes images and articles to the Australian Photography magazine, and loves helping and teaching others running photography workshops for many clients each year across Australia.
Luke has been fascinated by the natural environment ever since he was a child, and has been able to merge this interest with a love of bushwalking to be able to photograph some of Australia’s most stunning and wild natural environments.
We discuss his favourite place to photograph, Tasmania, immersing himself in the world heritage listed wilderness, his decision to move into full time photography and relocate there from Sydney along with a lot more.
I hope you enjoy the show!
